I witnessed the conservatory’s excellence when Bebiane was truly authentic in her work with the singers, not least due to the strength of her own voice. She demonstrated great artistic and pedagogical capacity. Bebiane’s project was an outstanding success. The singers gained the essential experience of how music takes shape around them—starting as sketches of songs, evolving through the inspiring and crucial refinement of articulation, dynamics, and form, culminating in a concert with full orchestral accompaniment in front of a live audience. An experience that has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on their musical memory.

For those of us watching from the sidelines, it was impressive to see how Bebiane, through her direct communication, managed to engage the singers and actually get them to sing better than they thought they could.
